SciBRINE® Brinemaker System

Complete, Onsite Bulk Salt-Dissolving Solution

The Scienco® SciBRINE® Brinemaker is a complete, automated system designed to produce a clear, saturated brine on demand—eliminating the need for manual mixing or bag handling. Built to meet USDA and FSIS food processing standards, the SciBRINE® system ensures consistent brine quality with minimal maintenance. The fiberglass tank furnished with the system is built to ASTM 3299 standards.

Available as a complete unit or in KIT form for integration with locally fabricated tanks, SciBRINE® systems support a wide range of salt types including rock, solar, and food-grade granulated salt. For optimal performance, a corrosion-resistant fiberglass tank is recommended, but other tank types can be used based on local availability.

How It Works

The SciBRINE® system uses a down-flow brine-making process that ensures continuous and consistent saturation:

  • Salt is loaded into the brinemaker tank, where it settles on the bottom.
  • Water enters within and flows through the salt bed, dissolving it as it flows downward—producing a clear, saturated brine without operator input.
  • The system is controlled by the Levetrol® Plus controller, which automates the water flow and gives an indication when the system is ready to accept another load of salt.
  • The brine is then ready to be pumped out for use in downstream applications.
  • A duplex pumping system is available should the brine need to be transferred to a storage tank elsewhere. Custom controls can be are available for this feature.

This method reduces operator labor, minimizes bag waste, and ensures uniform brine concentration for critical operations.
