Scienco/FAST® LX1 System Installation for Inland River Dredge

Customer Overview

Our customer, an inland river dredging operator, required a compact and efficient wastewater treatment solution to accommodate both crew needs and vessel design constraints. The project included installing a reliable Scienco/FAST® MSD LX1 plastic system along with a functional toilet set up.

The Problem

The customer’s dredge had limited available space and no gravity drain capability on the main deck – making a traditional marine sanitation device (MSD) impractical. The customer needed a lightweight, low-profile, and self-contained solution that could be installed without major vessel modifications.

The Solution

To meet these requirements, our team selected and installed a Scienco/FAST® LX1 Plastic System on the main deck of the dredge. Because gravity drainage was not possible, we integrated a macerator toilet to effectively pump waste into the treatment system. This setup provided a compact, durable, and low maintenance solution perfectly suited to the vessel’s configuration and operational environment.
